Weaving Inspiration

I am always in awe of those who can articulate how causes/images/places/nature inspire their work, art, craft, lives.  That notion seemed so foreign and altruistic,  almost  a concept beyond my understanding.   It was disheartening to consider that I might not have much introspective depth.

I took a step back and realized that it doesn’t have to be some noble ideal/cause that inspires a person, it can be as simple as the smell of the air after it rains, a beautiful sunset/rainbow/cloud formation, the buzzing of a bee, the song of a bird, the color of a newly opened flower, the taste of sun-ripened strawberry.

Seeing the beauty in life and our surroundings is not always easy, especially when there can be feelings of so much ugliness and sadness in ourselves and in the world.  But trying to see through a lens of positivity can help inspire us in our creative endeavours.
